No New Year Required: Reflecting on 2025 and Stepping Into 2026 🛫

I’ve never really subscribed to the idea that growth has to wait for January 1st.

I’m a firm believer — and an active practitioner — of the truth that you can change your life at 3 a.m. on a random Tuesday if you decide you’re ready. You can pivot mid-month. You can rebrand your whole existence after a long cry, a deep breath, or a quiet realization that something no longer fits.

No countdown required.

Still, I do think there’s value in pausing. In reflecting. In acknowledging where you’ve been and gently deciding where you’d like to go next.

So here’s mine — not a list of resolutions, but a collection of moments, shifts, lessons, and intentions that shaped my 2025 and are guiding me into 2026.

What I’m Proud of From 2025 🎉

2025 asked me to show up differently for myself — and in many ways, I did.

I started Exclusively Souled, something that lived in my head and heart long before it ever lived on the internet. I began sending pitches (even when self-doubt tried to talk me out of it) and I landed a future collaboration with a tourism board — a quiet but powerful reminder that taking up space does open doors.

Somewhere along the way, the blog also reached 1,000 views. It might sound small to some, but it felt major to me. Because when you really think about it, that’s 1,000 people who paused — even briefly — to take notice of something I poured my soul into. And that mattered more than the number itself.

One of the biggest shifts I made last year was learning how to set boundaries — not perfectly, not without discomfort, but intentionally. I began implementing them in ways that prioritized my well-being, and because of that, I ended 2025 far more peacefully than I started it.

I also had to confront something I’d been resisting for a long time: rest is necessary. Rest doesn’t make you lazy. It doesn’t make you unmotivated or unworthy. And if you refuse to rest on your own, your body will eventually make the decision for you.

Receiving new medical diagnoses last year brought clarity — not just about my body, but about the way I’d been moving through the world. Understanding myself better changed how I speak to myself, how I treat myself, and how much grace I allow myself to have. Sometimes naming the thing doesn’t limit you — it frees you.

If 2025 taught me anything, it’s that showing up for yourself doesn’t always look loud or productive. Sometimes it looks like slowing down. Sometimes it looks like choosing peace. Sometimes it looks like letting go.

What I’m Looking Forward to in 2026 ✨

2026 feels… open.

I’m excited about the possibilities that come with adjusted thinking and choosing different paths — even when they’re unfamiliar. I’m stepping into the year with experiences already on the calendar: attending the Travel and Adventure Show in DC in January, celebrating my birthday in February, and a future trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands that I’m deeply looking forward to.

But beyond dates and destinations, I’m excited about who I’m becoming.

This is my Soft Girl Era — and yes, that means prioritizing peace, but it also means confidence. It means building a life that can hold me gently while still challenging me to grow. It means allowing myself to be seen — not just personally, but creatively.

I’m looking forward to putting myself out there more. To sharing my work more boldly. To connecting with people who resonate with what I’m creating and building the kind of community that feels real, affirming, and aligned.

Because when you change how you see yourself, the world you move through changes too.

My Goals & Intentions for 2026 🌱

Instead of resolutions, I’m setting intentions — the kind that guide rather than pressure.

In 2026, I’m striving for a peaceful life where:

  • I’m creating the content I’ve been wanting to see more of
  • I’m building authentic community and meaningful connections
  • I’m taking reasonable risks that move me closer to where I want to be
  • I’m listening to my body, respecting it, and honoring everything it’s carried me through

I want this to be a year filled with memories and experiences — knowing full well that not all of them will be “good.” Because this is life.

My hope is that when the hard moments come, I meet them with grace. That I work through what I can, learn what I’m meant to, and keep moving forward without abandoning myself in the process.

Growth doesn’t require perfection. It just requires willingness.

And whether it’s January 1st, the middle of June, or 3 a.m. on a random Tuesday — you’re always allowed to begin again.

Looking Ahead 💭

This year, Exclusively Souled is growing — in depth, in intention, and in honesty.

There are stories to tell, places to explore, lessons to share, and community to build — and I’m just getting started.

So stay close. Leave a comment. Share what you’re stepping into this year. And keep your heart open for what’s coming next.

✨ 2026 is about softness and becoming — and I can’t wait to walk it with you. ✨
